| A typewriter, English-Turkish dictionary, a4 paper and text / September 2009 |
| The typewriter is made of a modified typewriter: as the buttons are pushed the sounds of the letters are simultaneously heard. Thus pushing the 'a' button results in both typing and hearing 'a'. The project is in artist's native language (Turkish) and the sounds are recorded by the artist herself. In this experience, the written and the oral cannot be perfect together; one has to suffer for the other to be right. |
