| Watercolour on paper, sunflower seed / January 2007 |
| Sunflower seeds have become a symbol for chatting in Turkey. A pile of seed shells would mean people were gathered there to chat. In this work, the silent persona is able to listen, but ignores the visitor by gazing away. Only by eating sunflower seeds form the jar, can the visitor communicate with the persona. One of the jars is placed under the first drawing, filled with sunflower seeds. The other one is placed under the last drawing for the shells. |
